One of my friends posted the photo ref for this during the Olympics. It was a very rainy picture of Time Square with lots of Umbrellas. I couldn't bring myself to watch the Olympics and not do something more colorful, so I played with the image a little in PhotoShop and painted off of what I created there. I used a lot of transparent color, so in places you can see the canvas through the washes. (Photo Ref by Wendy)
