This is a study based on a photograph my friend Mike Beckett tookof the vintage 1920 Antique Merry-Go-Round at Fort Edmonton Park. It really should be done much larger, but I wanted to see if I could even paint this first. :)
Also, I could not possibly paint carousel horses without adding some glitz. This one has metallic gold acrylic on the poles, tent curtains, and various places on the horses.
Proudly Donated to Hearts and Horses Therapeutic Riding School.
